✨ How to Apply DTF Heat Transfers
You will need:
• A heat press (recommended) or home iron
• Parchment paper / baking paper
• A clean, dry garment (100% cotton, polycotton, polyester, etc.)
Heat Press Method (Best Results)
-
Pre-press garment for 5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
-
Place the DTF transfer face-up (design facing YOU) with the adhesive side down onto the garment.
-
Press at 150–160°C (300–320°F) for 12–15 seconds with medium pressure.
-
Allow to cool completely (cold peel).
-
Peel film slowly from one corner.
-
Re-press with parchment paper for 5–8 seconds to lock in the design.
Iron Method (If you don’t have a heat press)
-
Set iron to cotton/high heat, no steam.
-
Place garment on a hard, flat surface.
-
Lay the transfer down and cover with baking paper.
-
Press firmly, holding the iron in place for 15–20 seconds per section (don’t slide).
-
Let cool completely, then peel.
-
Cover again with baking paper and iron for 5–10 seconds to finish.
